The first of our Adventure Series with a chance to stretch you legs and explore the rainforest creeks and ridge of Lamington national park. There’ll still be plenty of time for photos.
It is an overnight event and there are a variety of options from basic camping (I’m already booked in to the campsite) or cabins at the Binna Burra Lodge or nearby B&B – food and accommodation is your own responsibility.
Camping can be booked here: https://www.binnaburralodge.com.au/accommodation/the-rainforest-campsite
Meeting at 7am outside the Cafe at the very end of the Binna Burra road. We’ll discuss the options based on the weather but most likely is the Coomera circuit. The option for Sunday will be decided on Saturday afternoon/evening.
Be prepared for damp conditions with creek crossings. The current forecast includes the potential for showers but I’ll update the FB group as we get closer. Some spray on insect repellent is a good idea for the leeches which will be out and about after the recent rain.
For a guide to the walks have a look at the Qld Parks page here: https://findapark.npsr.qld.gov.au/#feat_name=Lamington%20National%20Park
