Border Ranges National Park
An overnight trip to one of the a spectacular part of the Gondwana World Heritage forests and view .
This is a BYO overnight camping trip.
Numbers are limited and bookings essential.
The rough plan
The plan is to meet at 10am Saturday at the Forest Tops camping area – there are only 10 sites available here so it might be an idea to setup camp at this stage.
There is a small communal hut at the campground with an open fire and tables which is a great spot to hang out in the evening and share stories (and maybe a few beverages)
The afternoon wil be exploring the Brindle Creek track
Sunday morning will (weather permitting) be a sunrise shoot for the lookout area and or a walk along the Booyong track
We’ll pack up and head home after lunch.
There are also a range of other options we can discuss while there.
In the event that the campground is full we will go the Sheepstation creek camping area which is much bigger.
Fees: You are responsible for all your own fees and permits. There is a payment point on entry to the park which is cash only no change. Vehicle fees are $8 per day and Camping $6.50 adult per night
Food and Camping:
You are responsible for all your own food and camping equipment. We’ll be there for 2 lunches, 1 Dinner, 1 Breakfast. It is advised to bring all your drinking water with you.
If anyone needs assistance with gear please let me know.
Photo opportunities and gear
Head over to the location page where I have some photos and video from previous trips (more to be added soon)
A tripod is recommended as the rainforest can be quite dark
Also recommended to have some option for rain protection due to the high rainfall and mist – a shower cap is one quick and easy option.
Bookings are closed for this event.
