A circuit walk with spectacular views over the Main Range, passing along a historic bullocky road and old relics. Starting from the Governors chair carpark, about an 8km walk. We will organise a quick car shuttle a the start to avoid a 2km walk back up the road.
Meeting at 0730 to allow time for a car shuttle and starting the walk at 8
Directions are quite simple – (from Aratula) head south on the Cunningham highway for about 5km and take the Lake Moogerah road on the left, about another 5km take the first right onto Spicers Gap road and keep driving till the road stops. It is mostly gravel and suitable for 2wd vehicle unless there is heavy rain.
It is only the section between Governors chair and the camping area which is sometimes more difficult in 2wd (although still possible) if that is the case then we will start from the camping/day use area. It is well signed and there is an obvious orchard on the right hand side when you get to it.
