Yellow pinch reserve, Mount Barney
A pleasant rockhop up the Logan River at Mount Barney, with a bit of luck there will hopefully be plenty of orchids on display as we meander up this very pretty section of creek.
After we leave the creek we head back along the firetrail to the carpark with a short detour to the impressive lockout from the top of Yellowpinch with fantastic views over Mt Barney and the surrounding area.
This walk is a moderate difficulty (rock hopping and a hill to ascend) but is not a long walk and achievable by most people. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
Sunset is at 1740 and there may be great opportunities for a sillhouette shot of Mt Barney but you will probably need a torch for the trip back to the carpark.
There are currently 25 spaces available but more can be added if required.
As always the Scenic Rim Photo Walks are a ‘at your own risk’ activity – if you have any questions please feel free to ask below…
